Thank you for the reminder that peace of mind might lay right around the corner. Winter in New York keeps trying to discourage me from getting outdoors but your words have undone winter's best work.
You really struck a chord for me in this posting, Amy. Welcome to the world of daily walkers. It has kept me sane--well, relatively sane--for over two decades. Even, as you mention, if it's just around the block, a short walk re-invigorates me, clears my head of the noise and clutter, and helps me manage stress, frustration and anxiety. And don't worry, my friend. Your words will come. Perhaps you've needed a short break from them. Walk on!
I'm an old hand at the daily walks. Having dogs for years meant walks every day, but I needed some shorter endeavors to remind me that distance doesn't matter. Words are still coming fortunately, just a slow drip.❤️
"Connecting with the world outside my imagination" that's a beautiful turn of phrase- and a delightful concept, too.
When I’m drafting and living alone, getting stuck in my imagination can be a problem for sure.

I love all this so much, Amy. Thank you. I'm gonna go take my micro walk now.
